![]() Simply put, the church must go back to its roots. (2 Timothy 3:1-9) And when the church lost this inbred love (1 Cor 13:1-13), did it also lose the love for one another? (Proverbs 18:1-24). Sadly to say, today's modern church appears to have lost its fervent love of the gospel. Is it that our modern day church just needs some fervent intercession, and I mean intercession not just in prayer but in deed as well? (1Cor 10:31) Yes, there is much that is wrong that we can point to in many churches, but why do we attend in the first place? Is it to serve or be served? Is it so we may have our needs met or is it to worship God?Īre we humble in our Christian experience, by washing feet as our dear Lord did? (1 Cor 12:12-26) ![]() And have you ever had the experience of attending an unfriendly church? Well, I've been there and done that, many a time. That one which has gone astray to His kingdom He'll restoreĭo you l see, in this flippant rendition of the famous nursery rhyme "Mary Had A Little Lamb", a resemblance to the modern church of today. Ninety and nine may be safely in His hands for ever more He is waiting so patiently to save those who have gone astray You see our Lord is our kind and loving shepherd even today Why does this lamb love Mary so all the church did loudly cryīut Mary just gazed to heaven above and gave her godly reply So the Deacon turned the little lamb out but it lingered nearĪnd waited ever so patiently for faithful little Mary to appear It made all the children laugh so hard to see a lamb in churchīut when the preacher saw their glee he never left his perch ![]() No one spoke or shook her hand nor even raised their eyes It followed her to church one day But much to her surprise Mary had a little lamb its fleece was as white as snowĪnd everywhere that Mary went her lamb was sure to go
